Shih-Chieh Chien teaches in the Academic Writing Education Center at National Taiwan University. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Second Language Education at the University of Cambridge, Master of Education in Language and Literacy at Harvard University, and Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University. His research interests include writing strategy use, contrastive/intercultural rhetoric, and composition pedagogical guides for writing teachers. His work appears in several international journals, such as Journal of English of English for Academic Purposes, Foreign Language Annals, Research in the Teaching of English, Ethics & Behavior, Asia Pacific Journal of Education, Asia Pacific Education Review, and The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher.
